About me…
Tim Duong, a 24-year veteran of the El Monte Union High School District, began his journey locally at Gidley Elementary after his family immigrated to the United States in 1981. He grew up in El Monte and later attended Rosemead High School. Tim went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Cal Poly Pomona.
He began his teaching career in 2002 at South El Monte High School, where he taught mathematics. Over the course of his 23-year career, Tim has also served as a Math TOSA, Data and Assessment TOSA, OPL Teacher, and Administrator. In his current role at Mountain View High School, he oversees the Instruction Office.
Outside of his professional responsibilities, Tim has been married for over 22 years and is the proud father of a 9-year-old son. His passion for education centers on creating meaningful learning experiences that empower students and supporting families in achieving success.
